The City purchased Lucity (2017), which has a Streets/Transportation module that would address the need for an asset management system in Streets and Transportation. The implementation directly aligns with the Council goals of City-wide Technology and Strategy and the Safe Streets and Sidewalks Program. It also aligns with fiscal responsibility associated with risk management, proper asset management, operational efficiencies and system resiliency.
Currently, the City has a major liability exposure associated with not having an asset management system for Streets/Transportation. In addition, the fact that Streets is the only operations division that is not in Lucity creates huge inefficiencies and inequities for staff that do not have access to proper technology that their counterparts do. The implementation cost estimate would be to cover any unexpected hardware needs.
The Lucity Streets module includes Roads, Signs and other modules as identified in a needs assessment. The Cities agreement with Lucity covers all available modules and are included in the annual maintenance.
